Cootie catchers (or chatterboxes/fortune tellers) are a fun way of combining a popular children’s game with some practice in reading, writing and spelling words that contain digraphs.
What you’ll get in the pack
This pack includes 14 different cootie catchers to help your students learn to read and spell words containing digraphs. They are split into 8 sets, where each set focuses on one digraph. The sets include:
Set 1: sh
Set 2: ch
Set 3: ck
Set 4: th
Set 5: ng
Set 6: qu
Set 7: wh
Set 8: le
Each set of cootie catchers also includes a word overview sheet. This sheet provides all of the words used in each cootie catcher.
Instructions are included for how to assemble the cootie catchers, as well as for how you can use them in your class.
