Are you after a way to introduce the topic of safety to your students? This lesson plan introduces good safety practices to your students.

Your students will work in small groups to read different safety stories. Each story provides a scenario where the child in the story follows some good safety practices and not so good practices. Your students work in groups to list both the good and not so good practices.

Your students will share their ideas in the form of a class brainstorm. Finally, your students will create a safety acrostic poem to share what they have learned about good safety practices.

This item is suitable for Grades 1 – 3, 19 pages.
