I’ve put together some task cards that you can use with your students to review area. These cards are excellent to use as part of a math center, for individual practice or even to send home for home consolidation. There are 12 cards that all include the area in square units. Students are required to work out the area of some of the shapes as well as draw their own shapes with a particular area. Some of the cards also introduce the idea of half units.
These cards can be photocopied in gray scale to give to your students. Or you can print and laminate them and complete them with a dry erase marker.
