It’s party time…today is Top Notch Teaching’s first birthday. I can’t believe it’s been a year since I started this blogging journey….it’s gone by so quickly. It’s been a great, scary, rewarding and hard 12 months, but I definitely wouldn’t change it for one minute.
Probably the best thing that has come out of the past 12 months has been the wonderful blogger teachers that I have met. Every day I am inspired and amazed at what this wonderful group of teachers accomplish.
Anyway enough of the soppy stuff ;-)…. As a big thank you to all the people that have subscribed and that regularly visit my blog I’m having a super-duper giveaway.
How To Enter The Giveaway
Now on to the fun part, how the giveaway will work. Firstly, I have to say a HUGE thank you to some of my very close bloggy friends as they have kindly donated some cool resources for the prizes to help with the birthday celebration. There will be 3 prize packages totalling $73.50. Keep reading below to see what is in each prize pack and be sure to visit the blogs and stores of the lovely ladies who donated the prizes.
To enter, you will need to share in the comments the web link to your favourite article from Top Notch Teaching. You can use the following link to view the archives to help you pick your fave: ARCHIVES.
The quicker you do this, the more entries you will receive. The first 20 comments will receive 3 entries each, the second 20 will receive 2 entries each and after that each comment will receive 1 entry each. You are only able to enter once.
I will then put everyone’s entries into the draw, and randomly choose the winner. The competition closes on Wednesday 27 March, 6pm WST. The winners will be announced on my blog on Wednesday and each of the winners will receive the prizes by email from the individual contributors.
If you’re new here and have just found my blog, then welcome. If you like what you see, then why not subscribe…if you do you’ll also receive a cute poster pack. Just use the link at the end of this post or over in the side bar.
I can’t wait to see which article has been your favourite. Thanks again for being here and GOOD LUCK!!

I love this one
https://topnotchteaching.com/time-saving-tips/how-i-use-wilf-and-tib-to-let-my-students-know-what-im-looking-for/
It is such a simple idea, but so effective and necessary for students to know how to be successful rather than guessing what the teacher wants!
Happy Blog Birthday!!!
I love this post – https://topnotchteaching.com/tuesday-teaching-tips/brain-break-song-and-dance/
This year I’ve completely embraced brain breaks (and dancing breaks) because some of my kiddos definitely need them! And it’s a great opportunity to recharge!

There are so many! However, this post has stayed with me:

I love Maggie Dent and it was a great reminder about considering our students’ emotional needs. Your story about a kiss in your daughter’s hand to keep with her all day at daycare was just beautiful, thank you for sharing.
Congratulations on achieving such a great milestone!
