Welcome to Top Notch Teaching; I’m glad you have found your way here! This blog has grown out of my passion for teaching and the work I have been doing for the past 10 years in education.

Top Notch Teaching will provide teachers (both beginning and experienced) with ideas, resources and practical advice to enhance the quality of your teaching and learning programs. It is intended to provide you with inspiration and will assist with renewing and revitalising your teaching.

If you are a beginning teacher you will have many questions and be looking for practical advice to help with the transition to becoming a ‘fully fledged’ teacher.

If you are an experienced teacher you have probably been thinking quite a bit about what constitutes ‘effective teaching’ and how you can enhance the learning experience for your students.

Top Notch Teaching will delve in to many of the issues faced by both beginning and experienced teachers and share with you; personal accounts, interviews, tips and tricks, how-to articles and much more to enable you to enjoy your role as a teacher.

Hey Vicki, thanks for stopping by. I’m glad you like the ‘look’, as design is definitely not one of my strong points. Once I get an idea in my head, I usually feel there is no point in delaying, and I work really hard to make it happen :-). Thanks also for the lovely words, they’re very much appreciated!
