Melinda Crean Creator of the New Teacher SUPPORT Program

Hi, I’m Melinda Crean and I’m a teacher just like you! I’m passionate about education and how we can better ourselves as teachers to provide more quality opportunities for our students.

I know what it’s like being a new teacher…..the excitement…..the trepidation…..the nerves…..and I also know the lack of support provided to new teachers.

Many new teachers are told to either sink or swim…..that was certainly the case for me!

But I don’t believe new teachers should be treated like this. New teachers should be nurtured and supported and provided with all of the opportunities to not only succeed but to THRIVE.

That’s why I created the New Teacher SUPPORT Program. It will help you take control of your classroom, provide you with tips and tricks to cope with the demands of teaching and give you access to a treasure trove of innovative teaching ideas and resources.

Reflecting on my first year of teaching is enough to cause me to break out in a sweat! I only wish I had Top Notch Teaching’s New Teacher Support Program at my fingertips to help me navigate that difficult first year. From managing the classroom environment and student behavior to effective ways to plan for a class yet cater for individual students… there’s a lot to consider.

When it comes to selecting teaching resources from the abundance available on the internet, you want to ensure you are choosing the best. The New Teacher Support Program is developed by Melinda Crean, an experienced teacher who has experienced firsthand the trials and tribulations of those first few years of teaching. Melinda’s tales of her first year teaching are compelling, and she not only survived, but thrived, and has carefully constructed an online community to assist you to be confident and successful as you embark on what can only be described as a challenging yet rewarding journey.

As an experienced teacher, I can tell you I’m very excited to be joining your online community. I am thrilled Melinda has given us all exclusive access to her highly engaging and effective resources, that have been developed as a result of evidenced based research.

DonnaExperienced Teacher

The New Teacher SUPPORT Program is completely unique to you.

The program is built on the Framework For Effective Teaching and the Framework For Self-Improvement but is tailored to your teaching journey.

You'll never have days again where you don't know how to manage a tricky behavior, or where you just want to give up! You'll be learning from other teachers in the areas where you're not as strong. Together, our collective knowledge and experience are much more powerful than if you were doing this on your own.

You'll learn from peers and experts who have achieved what you want to achieve. The program is intentionally designed for you to learn from experienced teachers as well as gain additional perspectives from other new teachers at the same time.

You'll be given the structure you need to make a plan for self-improvement, apply any new systems, behaviors or actions into your teaching and track your progress. This is not just a theory program, but you will be provided with the tools you need to take action and see results.

You access the program via a unique website portal where you will find links to specially picked sets of resources designed to help you navigate being a new teacher. The program is stocked with teaching resources, templates, videos and planning documents.
