Okay I’m going to be up front….this post is slightly about self-promotion 😉
Yipppeeee I finally managed to get my first product up for sale on Teachers Pay Teachers.
I must admit I have been procrastinating over this for quite some time now. I think I’m a bit of a perfectionist and every time I looked at this item; I wasn’t quite happy with a bit and would need to change it.
This first item is a pack of Classroom Job Charts. The pack includes 16 different jobs that you can assign to your students. To view this item click: Classroom Job Charts.
I was first introduced to classroom jobs when I was on one of my teaching practicums when I was training to be a teacher. My supervising teacher talked with me a lot about setting up your very first classroom and how important it was to establish routines and responsibilities early on. One of the ways to do this was to allocate jobs to each student.
I have adapted the jobs over the years that I have been teaching, and the 16 jobs included in this pack worked well for me. I would rotate jobs weekly and keep a checklist of what jobs students held so that I knew there was a fair distribution.
I must admit my posters were never as fancy as the ones included in my Classroom Job Charts pack, but I had heaps of fun embellishing them. I have included four themes; bear theme, circus theme, space theme and summertime theme. Below are some images of pages from the summertime theme.
